Hi there! I'm Marisa, and I'm incredibly passionate about teaching Spanish. I have a knack for making learning fun and engaging, and I absolutely love what I do!

I've been a language teacher for 26 years, and it's a joy to share my experiences while also learning from my students. My goal is to help students develop the skills they need to reach their language goals, all while making the journey enjoyable.

I'm a firm believer that every student possesses a unique and special capacity to unlock their full potential in language learning. That's why I always adapt my approach to fit each individual's needs. Whether it's breaking down complex grammar or encouraging spontaneous conversation on diverse and exciting topics, I guide my students at their own pace. My classes are dynamic, dedicated, organized, interactive, and entertaining – and you can expect plenty of laughs!

I thrive on the challenge of creating an inclusive, supportive, and fun learning environment where everyone feels comfortable growing, from complete beginners to advanced learners. When I'm not in the classroom, I'm busy staying up-to-date with the latest in professional development, always refining my teaching styles and techniques.

Marisa holds a Pedagogy degree from San Jose State University in California and a Psychology degree from Konrad Lorenz University. With 26 years of experience, she's taught a wide range of subjects, including English, Science, Math, Social Studies, Psychology, Ethics, and Spanish, to students aged 2 to 78, from diverse socio-cultural backgrounds. Her extensive career includes teaching at universities like Konrad Lorenz, schools such as Colombo Hebreo and Nueva York (Bogotá), Berchmans and La Colina, and language institutes like Premium in Colombia. She also served as a Coach for Editorial Santillana, particularly within their Richmond English division. Throughout these years, she's gained a wealth of enriching experience, which she now enthusiastically shares with people worldwide.

Over the past two years, as a teacher for Babbel Live, Marisa has successfully taught Spanish to groups and private international students from Europe, Asia, and North America, consistently demonstrating her commitment, professionalism, and engaging teaching style. Her classes are always tailored to each student's individual needs, interests, preferred topics, and learning pace.
